Arooj Khan


Arooj is an associate in MJ Hudson’s London office where she is a member of the Venture Capital team. Her practice is focused primarily on structuring and establishing closed-ended funds in a number of asset classes and also regularly advises investors in respect of fund investments. In addition to advising on fund related matters, Arooj also provides advice to founders of start-up companies and VC investors.

Arooj joined MJ Hudson in September 2017. Since then, she has successfully completed her training contract with the firm and has also completed a secondment with a leading employment law firm.


  • Arooj graduated from SOAS, University of London in 2016 with LLB (Hons)
  • She completed the LPC in 2017 from BPP University, London

Recent Engagements 

Business Development

  • Arooj participated in the Langley Programme, a programme created by MJ Hudson to promote the profile of young lawyers within the asset management industry.
  • Arooj is a co-founder of the ‘Engine Room’ – a networking organisation for young professionals working in the alternative assets industry. The Engine Room aims to support its members with quarterly networking events in London, which will feature guest speakers, relevant content and opportunities to meet industry peers.


A Day in the Life of an MJ Hudson trainee


In her spare time, Arooj enjoys travelling (and writing travel stories for her blog), photography and is currently taking Hindustani classical singing lessons.

Arooj is fluent in Urdu and English and is currently learning Spanish.
